How does junk car removal actually work?

You tell us year, make, model, whether it's complete (engine, transmission, catalytic converter present) and whether you have the title. We quote a number on the phone. If you like it, we schedule the pickup — the tow costs nothing — the driver verifies the car matches the description, pays you, takes the signed title, and the driveway is a driveway again. Most pickups happen within a day or two of the call.

Non-running vehicle being loaded by winch
Non-runners are the normal case, not a complication. No keys needed if the title's right.

What's a junk car worth around here?

Complete drivetrain-intact vehicles typically bring $200–$800 by weight, age and parts demand; newer wrecked cars can bring considerably more through the salvage channel. The two big value factors: the catalytic converter (present = real money) and completeness. Missing engine or transmission drops the number but rarely to zero — steel is steel.

What about the title?

Indiana wants a title to transfer a vehicle, and so do we — it protects you from the car's future life. Lost it? The BMV's duplicate-title process is quick and cheap, and we'll wait. Inherited-vehicle and abandoned-on-my-property situations have their own paths; call and describe it, we've seen the variations.

Questions people actually ask

Do you really tow it for free?
Yes — the tow is built into the deal. The number quoted is the number you pocket.
The car has no wheels / is on blocks — still?
Still. Skates and winches load it. Truly buried-in-the-backyard cars may adjust the offer for extraction time; we say so up front.
Can I sell a car that isn't in my name?
Not cleanly, and we can't buy it that way. Title must match the seller — protects everyone. The BMV duplicate/transfer processes solve most tangles.
Do you buy running cars too?
Sure — sometimes a tired-but-running car is worth more whole than as scrap, and we'll say which side of the line yours is on.
What happens to the cars?
Parts get harvested, fluids handled properly, the shell recycled. Roughly 85% of a car by weight gets a second life.
